Protecting Personal Data
We are legally obliged by the Data Protection Act (DPA) and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) to protect our customer’s personal data which includes their address, contact details and crucially any medical information that we hold.
As part of your role you will have access to personal data and you will be required to do the following:
- Do not disclose any information about one of our customers to anyone else. You may recognise someone who has a scan but you MUST NOT speak to anyone else about this including your loved ones.
Make sure that personal data is secure in the clinic and cannot get into the wrong hands. Don’t leave around paperwork that has contact details for example as someone who is unauthorised could take it.
