Where a client declines a chaperone, this must be clearly recorded in their client notes (on the booking system). It must state that:
a chaperone was offered but declined by the client
It is not possible to complete a scan without a chaperone as this is in breach of our Chaperone Policy. It is expected in most circumstances that the client will understand this and proceed with the scan however if the client continues to decline a chaperone the scan cannot take place.
If the clinic is unable to provide a chaperone due to staff shortages the scan cannot take place and must be rescheduled for when a chaperone is available.
