CM. Appropriate Language

During module 3 we take a look at how we can use appropriate language to demonstrate our understanding and compassion. We will also be watching an example as to how the healthcare professional got this wrong and how this could have been handled better.

So what are we wanting to understand from this section?…

• Recognise how important it is to use language appropriate to the individual woman.
• Know how to reflect the woman’s preferred language.
• Know the non-medical language to use with the woman.
