CM. Delivery Unexpected News Continued..

When expectant parents receive unexpected news via ultrasound, they may go into shock.
A consistent observation is that expectant parents may struggle to recall information which is provided to them during this period. It is important to clearly record observations and provide the relevant Information leaflet.

The sonographer should explain in terminology that the customer will understand and explain what the information will mean to them. Information Leaflets must always be given.
