firstScan arriving at the clinic
- The woman will be greeted by a warm and friendly face.
- You will have a daily sheet printed on reception as it makes a real difference that you can greet each client by name. (Even if it isn’t the right client as some people arrive early this can be an easy conversation starter about arriving early)
- Please remember professional, tasteful language when speaking to the client as this can be a very anxious and nervous time for them.
- Full payment will be taken before the scan.
- The woman will need to complete the Pre Scan Questionnaire. We will cover this off later in the course.
- Pre-printed laminated copies of the Early Scan Crib Sheet should also be available for the woman to review. This opportunity in the reception area needs to focus on the woman being fully aware of all relevant information.
- The clinic team must act professionally at all times and sensitive care should be provided.
