What is your role?

A scan assistant’s role is diverse. You will be involved in the following key areas of the clinic’s operation:

  1. Reception
    1. Meet and greet; the first ‘face’ of the brand.
    2. Take payments.
    3. Take phone calls.
    4. Assist in making appointments at local hospitals.
    5. Handle paperwork.
    6. Assist in the waiting area and print area.
  2. Waiting area & print area
    1. Assisting customers as they complete key paperwork (Well-being Report or firstScan Questionnaire).
    2. General relationship/rapport building with the customer and her wider family.
    3. Time management; managing the flow of customers into the scan room.
    4. Advising clients of items available to purchase.
    5. Assisting customers with selecting and printing images and uploading to our bumpies app.
    6. Cleaning and hygiene control.
  3. Scan room
    1. Supporting the sonographer.
    2. Completing key paperwork.
    3. Relationship building with the family.
    4. Handling referrals and providing care and support to the customer and her family in the event of any abnormalities being identified.
